The dust jacket features the painting 'Fortresses Engaged' by Keith Ferris (1984), depicting B-17s of the 351st Squadron, 100th Bomb Group under attack over the Dutch-German border on 6 March 1944, the day of the USAAF's first large-scale raid on Berlin.
