About this copy
Washington Irving's enchanting evocation of the Alhambra, the Moorish palace-fortress above Granada, has delighted readers since the 1830s. Blending legend, history and the author's own wandering days in Spain, these tales of princes, enchanted halls and the storied inhabitants of the palace remain among the most loved books ever written about Andalusia. This copy is a handsome Granada hardback from 1994, complete with its illustrated dust jacket.
The cover reproduces a fine view of the Court of the Lions, and the book is a lovely souvenir or gift for anyone who has visited, or dreams of visiting, Granada.
