This is the Fourth completely new and revised edition, 1968, under the present title. The copyright page records its earlier history as Sailing on the South Coast (first published, reissued 1939, reprinted 1947), Second edition with new title, Pocket Pilot for the South Coast (1950), and Third edition (1962). This copy is not a first edition.
The guide is a pilot for yachtsmen covering south coast harbours with photographs, aerial views and charts, and includes the Shell logo on the jacket. Standard Book Number 571 04656 8.
