About this copy
RICHARD KNIGHT'S TREASURE! The True Story of His Extraordinary Quest for Captain Kidd's Cache By Glenys Roberts. Published by Viking (Penguin Books Ltd), 1986.
This is the first UK edition of Glenys Roberts' account of Richard Knight's real-life hunt for the legendary treasure of Captain Kidd. The copyright page states 'First published 1986' with no further reprint notices, consistent with this being a first printing. Hardcover in original pictorial dust jacket, with cover photograph by Chris Thomson/Image Bank and Press Association.
The jacket flap carries the original UK price of £9.95 net.
Condition
- Book
- Good – boards and text block are sound with no major damage noted; light soiling to the top edge of the text block.
- Dust jacket
- Good – bright colour to spine and panels, but with a noticeable brown stain to the inner front flap and some edge/corner wear.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
