About this copy
This is a copy of the 1948 edition of Preview, an annual film yearbook produced by World Film Publications Ltd covering British and Hollywood cinema of the period. The volume features illustrated coverage of films released around 1947-48, including Monsieur Verdoux, The Best Years of Our Lives, Brighton Rock, Captain Boycott, Blanche Fury, and An Ideal Husband, among others, illustrated throughout with black-and-white production stills. The book is bound in purple cloth boards with black lettering to the front board.
No dust jacket is present.
Condition
- Book
- Fair - The cloth boards show notable fading and discoloration, particularly to the spine and rear board, where a lighter panel is visible (likely from a long-removed label or overlay). There is scattered dark spotting to the front board, and wear to the spine ends and corners. Internally the pages and photographic plates appear clean and unmarked.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
