This is the 1947 edition of the long-running Picture Show Annual, described within its pages as the nineteenth issue of the series that began in 1926. It is a hardcover annual with a pictorial paper covering, featuring articles, star profiles, and photographs of film personalities of the period including Vivien Leigh, Claude Rains, Clark Gable, Norma Shearer, Myrna Loy and Jean Harlow. The rear board carries a period advertisement for Bournville Cocoa (Cadbury's), typical of annuals of this era which sold advertising space on the boards.

- Fair – this copy shows considerable wear consistent with age and use. The front and rear pictorial boards have heavy surface wear, cracking, and small areas of paper loss, particularly at the corners and edges. The rear board is soiled and stained, and the cloth spine shows fraying at the head and tail. The text block and photographic plates inside appear complete and legible.
