About this copy

OP. JB: THE LAST GREAT SECRET OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR By Christopher Creighton. Published by Simon & Schuster, London, 1996.

This is a first edition, first printing hardcover of Creighton's controversial account claiming that a Royal Navy commando team, including Ian Fleming, captured Martin Bormann at the close of the Second World War. The copyright page states 'First Published in Great Britain by Simon & Schuster, 1996' with no further printing statement, consistent with a first printing. Issued in the original dust jacket, priced £14.99 on the front flap, unclipped.

Condition

Book
Good – boards appear sound; light toning to page edges is visible.
Dust jacket
Fair – the rear panel and spine show extensive fine scuffing and scratching to the black surface, with a small nick at the head of the spine. The front panel is comparatively bright and clean.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
