About this copy
This is the first printing of this travel account, as stated on the copyright page ('First printed 1965'), with no later printings indicated. The book contains photographs by the author and John Bayliss, and drawings by Leslie W. Botting. This is an ex-library copy, previously held by Hampshire County Library, and retains library markings including a withdrawal stamp, accession number, and shelf-mark stickers on the spine and front endpaper.
The original dust jacket is present, priced 30s. net in the U.K.
Condition
- Book
- Fair – sound in its boards but showing library markings (withdrawal stamp, accession numbers), foxing to endpapers and title page edges.
- Dust jacket
- Fair – present and apparently original, but with noticeable wear including chipping and loss at the spine ends, a tape repair at the base of the spine, sunning to the spine panel, and general edge wear.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
