About this copy
This is the British Hodder and Stoughton hardcover edition, first printed in 1980. The book was originally published in the United States the same year by Simon and Schuster, New York. Mailer's text is presented as an imagined memoir in the voice of Marilyn Monroe, illustrated throughout with photographs by Milton H. Greene, a friend and photographer of Monroe's.
Dust jacket design by Martin Moskof. The book is bound in dark boards with a photographic dust jacket featuring a striking black-and-white portrait of Marilyn Monroe on the front.
Condition
- Book
- Very Good – boards are clean and square with no major wear noted in the photographs.
- Dust jacket
- Good – some light surface scuffing and minor corner wear are visible on the front and rear panels; a small mark is present on the rear panel. Jacket appears to be the original.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
