This copy is the fifth impression, 1987, of the title first published by Hamlyn in 1974 and reissued in 1983 as a Hamlyn Gondola Book. It is not a first edition. The book has pictorial laminated boards rather than a separate dust jacket, with a close-up portrait of Marilyn Monroe on the front board.
Contains approximately 250 black and white photographs and sixteen pages of colour, drawn largely from John Kobal's own collection of film stills, alongside an introductory essay and a career overview including cast lists, bibliography and discography.
