About this copy

This is the first published edition of this BBC paperback tie-in, containing the scripts for the first seven episodes of the classic sitcom Last of the Summer Wine, including the original pilot episode "Of Funerals and Fish" as broadcast in Comedy Playhouse in January 1973. The copyright page states "First published 1976" with no later printing or reprint notices present on this copy. Issued as a paperback with no dust jacket, featuring a BBC copyright cover photograph of the original cast.

Condition

Book
Good – a well-used reading copy showing general shelf wear. There is a small chip to the top edge of the front cover, a white residue mark on the lower front cover, and a darkened/discoloured patch on the rear cover. Pages are tanned, as expected for a paperback of this age. Spine shows some creasing from reading.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
