About this copy

A practical guide to writing and selling nonfiction magazine articles, drawing on the author's career as an editor at Vogue, Charm, Arts and Decoration, and McCall's, and as a teacher of nonfiction writing at New York University and the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference. The copyright page is dated 1967; no separate printing statement is present in the photographed pages. Hardcover in green cloth boards, housed in the original illustrated dust jacket featuring a lined-notepad and pencil design.

The front free endpaper carries a period owner's ink inscription reading "Margaret May, July 1980" – this is an ownership signature, not the author's.

Condition

Book
Good – cloth boards sound and text block clean, with the owner's ink inscription noted above.
Dust jacket
Good – some foxing/spotting to the rear flap and lower edge, a small nick at the top of the spine, and light general edge wear. Colours remain bright on the front panel.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
