About this copy
A hardcover study of 82 Army and Luftwaffe generals of the Third Reich, including Manstein, Guderian, Model, Kesselring, Rommel, Rundstedt, Kluge, and Bock, with 36 portrait illustrations and four campaign maps, plus tables of chain of command. The copyright page shows a 1976 publication date with no further reprint statement visible, consistent with this being an early printing of the first Osprey edition. The book is bound in brown cloth boards and is housed in its original illustrated dust jacket, which carries portrait photographs of several of the generals discussed on the rear panel.
The jacket's front flap edge is irregular rather than cleanly cut, so it is not possible to confirm whether a price was originally printed there or if it has been removed/clipped.
Condition
- Book
- Good – boards and text block appear clean and sound in the photographed areas; please see photos for full detail.
- Dust jacket
- Good – general rubbing, edge wear and some soiling to the inside flap are present, and the front flap edge is irregular (appears trimmed or torn rather than factory cut).
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
