About this copy
This is a pre-publication proof copy of Herbert's Haunted, identified on the front cover as a 'Presentation Book Proof'. The copyright page confirms 'First published 1988' with no later printings noted, consistent with this proof preceding the first trade edition. Issued in printed card proof wrappers rather than a cased binding with dust jacket, as is typical for such presentation proofs distributed ahead of official publication.
The title page is inscribed and signed in blue ink: 'To Denis, Regards from James Herbert.'
Condition
- Book
- Good – sound proof copy with some surface scuffing and light scratching to the front cover, and minor edge wear to the corners. Spine intact with light wear at the head and tail.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
