About this copy

This is the 1984 Century Publishing paperback edition, issued in The Century Travellers series. The book was first published in Great Britain in 1934 by Constable & Co. Ltd; this copy is the later Century reprint, not a first edition. Softcover (wrappers) with cover art reproducing 'View from the Istana, Sarawak' by Marianne North, reproduced by permission of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

There is no dust jacket, as this edition was issued in paperback wrappers only.

Condition

Book
Good – a sound reading copy showing wear consistent with age and use, including rubbing and wear to the cover edges and corners, light creasing to the front wrapper, and a small crease to the lower right corner. Spine is intact.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
