Quarter binding with red leather spine (gilt-tooled with small decorative devices) and marbled paper-covered boards.

- Fair - The binding is sound and the text block complete and legible, but the marbled paper boards are heavily rubbed, scuffed and scratched, with wear and small losses at the corners and spine ends. The title page carries an old pencil ownership inscription and has a small closed tear at one corner. Pages show some browning/foxing consistent with age.
