About this copy
This is the first volume (Erster Band) of Keller's Seldwyla stories, in the 64th-68th edition (64.-68. Auflage) as stated on the title page. It is a later printing of the Cotta edition, not a first edition.
The copyright page gives the printer as Union Deutsche Verlagsgesellschaft, Stuttgart. The book is bound in black publisher's cloth with gilt lettering and decoration to the front cover and spine, with Art Nouveau style olive/green decorative endpapers. There is no dust jacket.

- Good – Sound binding with gilt still legible. Cloth boards show rubbing at the corners and edges, the head of the spine shows wear, and the boards are soiled. Interior is clean. Ribbon marker is frayed. Red page edges show light handling marks.
