This is a softcover local history compiled for the 1973 centennial celebration of Kinsley and Edwards County, Kansas (1873-1973), subtitled "From Prairie to People." The book gathers pioneer and family histories, local anecdotes, and photographs documenting the settlement and development of the area over its first hundred years. Cover artwork is credited to Ray Gaskill.
This copy is in softcover wraps with no dust jacket, as issued. The first page carries a handwritten owner's presentation inscription ("To Uncle David & Sheila - For hours of browsing in Edwards County History!").

- Fair – Wraps show significant wear including creasing, corner wear, and fraying/splitting at the spine head and tail. There is adhesive residue/a sticker remnant on the front cover, and foxing/age spotting is present on the early text pages. The text block itself appears complete and tightly bound.
