About this copy
The text is illustrated throughout with line drawings by Elizabeth Hammond and photographs reproduced courtesy of the Smithsonian Institution's Freer Gallery of Art. This is an ex-library copy, bearing Epsom & Ewell Libraries stamps on the title page and front endpaper, along with handwritten shelf-mark annotations. The dust jacket, featuring a blue dragon design taken from a Victoria and Albert Museum photograph, retains its original printed price of 12s 6d net.
Condition
- Book
- Good – blue cloth boards sound, library stamps and shelf-mark annotations present on preliminary pages.
- Dust jacket
- Fair – heavily soiled with dark spotting and staining to front, back and spine, a small chip to the front panel, and a library label remnant to the lower edge. Corners show wear from handling.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
