About this copy
This is the Eighth Edition, Revised (first issued in this revised form in 1939), in the 1961 reprint. The copyright page traces the full publishing history: first published 1879, seventh edition revised 1900, eighth edition revised 1939, with this copy representing a later reprint (1961) of that eighth edition text. Includes index lexicons to the Old and New Testaments prepared by Professor Wm.
B. Stevenson and a complete list of Scripture proper names. Bound in red cloth boards with blind-embossed decorative border to the front board and gilt-style spine lettering, now somewhat dulled with age. No dust jacket is present.
An ownership inscription, 'D.E. Chevis,' appears in ink on the front endpaper.
Condition
- Book
- Good – Sound, complete copy showing wear typical of a well-used reference book: rubbing to spine ends and corners, a small scuff to the front board, and dulling of the covers. Text block and pages examined appear clean and complete.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
