About this copy
This is the first edition of David Sykes's memoir of a career selling civil aircraft worldwide, with a foreword by Donald W. Nyrop, retired Chairman of Northwest Airlines. The copyright page states 'First published 1987' with no later printing notices, consistent with a first printing. The book is presented in its original pictorial dust jacket, priced £9.95 net (UK only) on the front flap, uncropped.
The front jacket photograph is credited to Michael Butler; the rear jacket reproduces the insignia of airlines operating in mid-1944.
Condition
- Book
- Good – text block appears clean and sound; typical age wear expected of a book of this vintage.
- Dust jacket
- Good – general handling wear with light soiling to the front panel, some foxing/spotting to the flap and rear panel edges, and a small mark on the front panel.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
