About this copy

This is a Ladybird "Senior" title (Series 536), issued with printed pictorial boards rather than a separate dust jacket. No printing statement is visible in the photographs, so the exact printing this copy represents cannot be confirmed; a period pencil ownership inscription on the front free endpaper is dated 1954. The book has printed pictorial boards depicting a chaffinch and greenfinch at a nest on the front cover, typical of this series, with plain green cloth to the rear board.

Condition

Book
Fair – noticeable wear to the boards including a torn/creased top corner on the front cover, general soiling to the cloth, and rubbing to the spine ends and corners. The text block appears clean in the photographs supplied. An old pencil ownership inscription (name, address, and phone number) appears on the front free endpaper.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
