About this copy

This is the Book Club Associates edition of 1980, issued by arrangement with Pelham Books Ltd. The book was first published by Pelham Books in August 1979, with a second impression in January 1980; this copy represents the subsequent Book Club Associates printing, not the true first edition. A comprehensive guide-gazetteer to 128 preserved steam railways and museums across Britain, with a foreword by John Rumens of the Association of Railway Preservation Societies. Illustrated throughout with colour and black-and-white photographs, including jacket photography by Patrick Russell.

Rev. W. Awdry is well known as the creator of the 'Thomas the Tank Engine' series.

Condition

Book
Very Good – boards clean and square, text block appears sound.
Dust jacket
Good – some edgewear with a small tear at the top corner of the front panel, and light surface marking/sticker residue on the rear panel.

This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
