About this copy
This is the Dover edition, first published in 1979, an unabridged republication of Stewart's work originally issued in 1922 by E. P. Dutton and Company, New York (Kegan Paul, London), under the title 'Subjects Portrayed in Japanese Colour-Prints.' The book contains 274 illustrations; a small number of plates originally printed in color in the 1922 edition appear here in black and white. Issued in the original Dover paperback wrappers; there was no dust jacket as this is a softcover edition.
Condition
- Book
- Good – Paperback copy with wear to the top-right corner of the front cover, a small chip/tear to the bottom-left corner of the rear cover, and general tanning to the covers and page edges consistent with age. A faint pencil annotation appears on the front free endpaper. Text block appears clean and complete.
This is a pre-owned book, and minor age-related wear may be present beyond what is specifically mentioned. All readily visible defects have been described to the best of my ability. Please see photos, which form part of the description.
